At Heppenstalls Solicitors, we marked International Women’s Day 2025 with a celebration of strength, resilience, and the women who inspire us. Our team began the day by wearing leopard print, symbolising boldness and the qualities we admire in women, both in the workplace and in our communities.
Later in the day, we attended the New Forest Business Partnership’s (NFBP) International Women’s Day Business Lunch at the Balmer Lawn Hotel in Brockenhurst. This event brought together local professionals to network, hear from inspiring speakers, and discuss the ongoing importance of gender equality in the business world.
The theme for this year’s event, Accelerate Action, focused on the need for faster progress in achieving gender equality. The discussions highlighted the importance of addressing the barriers and biases that women still face in personal and professional settings.
We heard from keynote speaker Louise Atkinson, a business leader and advocate for women supporting women. Through her Project Sunlight initiative, Louise celebrates the stories of everyday women and the role they play in driving positive change towards gender equality.
The lunch also provided an opportunity for networking and connecting with other professionals in the New Forest business community. It was a chance to celebrate the achievements of women in business and discuss how we can continue working towards gender parity.
As we reflect on International Women’s Day, we are reminded of the importance of collaboration and supporting one another. We remain committed to celebrating and empowering women, not just today, but every day.
