After more than 30 years, the Ladies v Gents Challenge returned to New Milton Bowling Club this September, with Heppenstalls Solicitors proudly sponsoring and supporting the event.

The challenge match, which had not been held at the club for more than three decades, brought together 60 players – 30 Ladies and 30 Gents – for a full day of friendly competition.

Players competed in triples across four games, with three games taking place in the morning before the final game in the afternoon.

As part of our ongoing sponsorship of New Milton Bowling Club, Heppenstalls was delighted to support the event by providing the Heppenstalls Shield, prizes for the winning Ladies and Gents teams and lunch for the players. Members of the Heppenstalls team were also at the club throughout the day to help support the organisers and players.

There was plenty of friendly competition throughout the day, with the result going back and forth between the two sides. The Gents eventually secured the Heppenstalls Shield this year, with the Ladies already looking ahead to next year’s challenge.

The event was a great example of the club’s community spirit and provided a fantastic opportunity to bring members together for a competition that had been absent from the club’s calendar for more than 30 years.
