A substantial increase in people applying to register Powers of Attorney resulted in the Office of the Public Guardian’s (OPG’s) process becoming more efficient which resulted in lower operation costs and on 1^st April 2017 the application fee was reduced from £110 to £82.

The OPG has launched a refund scheme for those who paid a higher fee in the qualifying period (1^st April 2013 to 31^st March 2017).
